Excerpt From SuperLooper USTRCA

Years of rodeo competition coupled with family tradition equals success. That is what the new Cory Petska audio CD is all about. If rodeo success were to be measured, then the professional bar for all levels of competition would be the Petska mark. His mom, Gail, a six-time NFR qualifier and holder of two world titles, also won seven out of ten rounds, which is still an NFR record. Then there's his dad, Paul, who qualified to the NFR five times. Together with his brother Monty Joe, they have won the Average in the past and finished in the top five in the PRCA World standings year after year. Daughter Tye made a WNFR appearance in 1994 in the barrel racing event, keeping the Petska tradition alive. Then came the youngest Petska, Cory, who now has three WNFR qualifications to his credit and most recently, a WNFR Average title. Cory and the legendary Tee Woolman teamed up to secure the WNFR Average title at the 2005 PRCA Wrangler National Finals Rodeo event in Las Vegas, Nevada. This accomplishment has leaped-frogged Cory into the team roping spotlight. Becoming one of the most proficient and most talked-about heelers today,

Cory has taken his lifelong acquired skills and created an audio CD filled with tips and instructions for team ropers. The CD, produced by 2 Rodeo Success, welcomes listeners to enjoy a great interview with Cory. George Alexander candidly joins the conversation, pitching questions that ropers, both headers and heelers of all levels, want and need to know. Cory uses his experiences from the WNFR and his own method of practice to answer the questions. In addition, he offers information on handling a rope, positioning the horse in the arena, and a whole lot of other tips and advice for both novice and more experienced ropers. He also shares his experience in horsemanship, offering fundamentals that novices can use to build a foundation and that every roper can remember when he or she heads off to practice. This CD will spark ideas and conversations about things that can help you rope better, become more consistent in the arena and things to avoid while practicing and competing. The CD offers an insight into the thoughts of a true professional of the sport, as well as an understanding that even the best ropers work on the same disciplines in the practice pen. Enjoy this CD and tell your friends about it. Whether you are an old veteran of the sport or a rookie just learning to swing a rope, this CD offers insights to help you obtain your goals.
